Seniors Health Knowledge Network [SHKN]

The Seniors Health Knowledge Network (SHKN, originally the Seniors Health Research Transfer Network or SHRTN) is a network of networks that mobilizes evidence, shares knowledge and brokers relationships across disciplines and sectors among: practitioners, researchers, educators, policy makers, and older adults. It initially received provincial funding between 2005-2014.  but continues now through sponsorship and support of its key stakeholders. Read More about what we do...

Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of practitioners, caregivers, policymakers, researchers, healthcare administrators, educators and leaders who come together to exchange information on a topic related to seniors health. Community groups are commited to supporting and learn from one another to develop new knowledge and applied practice.

This collection offers online resources that are relevant to seniors health and well-being: planning documents, reports, statistics, best practice guidelines, knowledge transfer and exchange products, tools and much more. Our Resource Centre is always developing. We draw on the knowledge of our partners within the Seniors Health Knowledge Network, our library service, Information Specialists, Knowledge Brokers and the many members involved in our communities.
